Your GP can refer you by completing a GP Mental Health Plan. This plan allows you to access 10 Medicare rebated sessions per calendar year. You DO NOT have to wait 12 months from the date of referral to be eligible for these services as you are entitled to 10 sessions of necessary treatment each calendar year.
If you have been injured at work (physically or emotionally) and are receiving Workers compensation wages, you may be finding day to day coping increasingly difficult. This is very common inside the WorkCover space as people often feel a loss of control. If this is happening to you, you can request your GP send you to Renew for adjustment to injury counseling via a referral and an adjustment to the medical certificate.
If your receiving WorkCover, or injured under CTP insurance, Renew will invoice the insurance company directly. Some insurers will require a letter of referral from your GP and others will not. Just check with your insurer on their requirements.
Insurance companies may also refer directly to Renew Psychology and Rehabilitation if they prefer. Sometimes this will expedite treatment and we will advise the GP of our involvement.
If you are a veteran you may be referred by your GP and we will invoice DVA on your behalf.
We are registered with most private health funds and you will be able to receive a rebate for psychological services depending on your level of cover.
We are a registered NDIS provider for positive behaviour support plans, support coordination, therapeutic supports (which includes assessments and career counselling).
No GP referral is necessary if these supports are a part of your NDIS plan.
You do not need a referral if you are claiming through a private health fund or willing to pay the full fee yourself.
